So, hopefully you’ve read the first post, and now you’re back for more of our thoughts on good bicycle maintenance.

We talked about how buying bike upgrades every so often will keep you enthusiastic about your bicycle, learning proper repair techniques will mean you aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty and actually enjoy bicycle repair, and the last thing we discussed was how good and little bike maintenance often will reduce the dread of having to carry out maintenance after months of neglect.

Cycling Accessories covers a whole array of stuff you can change in and out on your bike, add to your bike or have somewhat related to your bicycle. One bicycle accessory that will really help with the maintenance on your bicycle, especially over the course of a winter training season, is a good set of mudguards. Even though they might not look great, they will help prevent a lot of muck getting onto the frame of your bicycle - and in the event of weekend group spins, the very least you should do is add a mudguard to your rear wheel so you aren’t splashing muck into the face of the rider behind you.
